Fondant Coloring 101

Skill level: Newb
Take the guesswork out of coloring fondant and learn the secrets to building color, creating difficult colors and the science behind color correction.

This is a periscope broadcast. Periscope is a free app that you can download on your phone or ipad and watch LIVE broadcasts! You can follow Liz on Periscope @artisancakes.

Have you ever wondered how to make a specific color? Feel like you're just randomly adding colors to a lump of fondant HOPING you'll end up with that color you desperately need? In this periscope broadcast, Liz explains how color theory can work for you when coloring your own fondant. She works through several examples including burgundy, navy blue, red, grey and more difficult colors. After watching this video you will be able to confidently make any color you need easily!

Quick Tip: REMEMBER! Look at a color and ask yourself, if I where to describe this color to someone, what would I say (ie: this color is yellowish brown) then use that description as a general direction to begin adding colors.

Don't forget about your base colors!
