Keto Sausage Gravy

Thick and flavorful sausage gravy that's low carb and keto! Pairs perfectly with my keto biscuits.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound breakfast sausage
  • 1 Tablespoon butter
  • 1 Tablespoon avocado oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • ¾ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¾ teaspoon onion powder
  • ¼ teaspoon oregano
  • ¼ teaspoon thyme
  • ¼ teaspoon sage
  • ½ teaspoon chili flake optional
  • 2 ½ cups heavy cream
  • 4 ounces cream cheese

Instructions

  • Preheat a medium frying pan over medium heat.
  • Once the pan is hot, add some avocado oil to the pan.
  • Add your sausage to the pan with the salt, pepper, garlic powder, chili flakes, onion powder, thyme, sage, and oregano.
  • Brown your breakfast sausage and break it up into pieces with your spatula as it cooks.
  • Once your sausage is done cooking, add in the cream and the cream cheese in small pieces.
  • Bring the mixture to a simmer and whisk gently to break up the cream cheese.
  • The gravy will thicken as it cools. Serve the gravy over my fluffy keto biscuit recipe!

No cream cheese? You can use other things to thicken the gravy like xantham gum or arrowroot powder!
